Corn Bread
Cornbread is just a perfect as they get but we’ve beat perfect. How? you can enjoy Cornbread better by using ScotMaple Oat Flour, provides amazing health benefits such as reduced cholesterol intake and so much more.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of ScotMaple Oats flour (spooned and leveled)
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted and more for pan
- 1 1/2 cups of yellow or white cornmeal
- 6 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of fine salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 cup of buttermilk
- 3 large eggs
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Butter an 8-inch square baking pan.
- In a large bowl, stir together your cornmeal, baking soda, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ScotMaples Oats flour.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, buttermilk, and eggs.
- Add buttermilk mixture to the oat flour mixture and stir just until combined (do not overmix).
- Transfer batter to pan and smooth top.
- Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes.
- Let cool in a pan on a wire rack, 15 minutes, before serving.
